Pencil.

Charcoal and water colour paint.

Coloured pencils.

Watercolour.

The first drawing of Vincent.

So, I thought I'd upload some old drawings from my first sketch book. I won't put all of the work from that book on here for the simple reason it would take way to long to do! So this is a selection, not 'cause its the stuff I like the best or got the best marks, just 'cause its what I found saved on my laptop.
If I find more it will be on here soon. Although, I can't photograph any more as my book is in for marking >.<

Project one.

This was my 'personal response' for my first project. I was studying portraiture, so this is a collection of even thing I learn't from studying it and just to finish off the project.

The girl is my friend Maggie and the Boy is my boyfriend Vincent.

The piece supposed to reflect their personality's and how they clash so much.
Notice the very detailed flowers on Maggie's side, (hours spent on them!), and the white background. The colours are girly and fresh, so very much like Maggie. She wears a pink vest top, this allows the flowers and detail on the hair to stand out more.

Then there is the clash of white and black as the background changes. This was created by simply ripping a large piece of black paper and sticking it over the top.

On Vincent's side is guitars, as he's very into music and playing guitar. The guitars were drawn from pictures of his favourite guitars, then copy many many times! I then flicked very watery watercolour paint onto them. Each guitar had black, and another colour. He wears a suit to soon his love from dressing smart, and 'cause the picture I used to draw from he was wearing a suit in.

The whole picture was inspired by the works of Gabriel Moreno.

This piece, and all the planning included scored a B :D
Four marks off an A so I'm working on improving it.
